HIPOT TESTER
A DIELECTRIC STRENGTH TESTER PROVIDES A HIGH VOLTAGE TEST IN ORDER TO CHECK THE QUALITY OR SOME CURRENT LIMITS DEFINED IN THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
This high voltage test (also called dielectric strength test, hipot test, hi-pot test, breakdown test or flash test) is made to stress the device under test to an AC or DC high voltage and check that there is no breakdown nor perforation happening. A hipot tester also checks that insulation distances and distances in the air are respected
